Blue Reef Aquarium Bristol which includes an IMAX 3D Cinema is due to open its doors in October 2009 on the former Wildwalk Site.
Both attractions are part of Blue Reef Leisure Ltd and are part of the ASPRO Ocio Group.

The ideal candidate must have 1 year's previous experience of working in an accounts environment/cash office ideally within a customer-facing organisation. Candidates should have accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to use initiative as essential skills as well as being self-motivated, a good communicator and able to work as part of a team. Candidates must be familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to use Excel Spreadsheets and Outlook as part of their day-to-day duties. Experience of "SAGE" accountancy package would be an advantage.

Visitor Services Presenter
Deep Sea World, Scotland's National Aquarium has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Visitor Services Team as a full time presenter.
Are you efficient at working within a team, imaginative and have an enthusiasm for sea life?
You would be required to play an active role in the promotion of conservation of sea life through talks and presentations at Deep Sea World. You would also have the opportunity to help with the development of our Education Programme.

Seasonal opportunities exist to join our catering, retail, front of house team in both seasonal and management positions and we are looking for people who can deliver excellence in customer care and who would thrive in our unique environment that is challenging, varied but always fun! Recruitment for these posts usually takes place from Easter each year.
We have many applications every year for positions within our marine care departments as aquarists. Our aquarists have a hugely important role in both animal care and also caring for our visitor. Only applicants that are able to demonstrate good people skills and passionate about education would be considered for positions at Blue Reef. We would normally expect an aquarist to also have experience working with fish or qualifications in marine biology, zoology or animal care. As always experience and enthusiasm may well counteract the need for formal qualifications.

The responsibility of this position will be varied, challenging but extremely rewarding and is a chance to combine your HR skills alongside a passion for customer services. As a Visitor Services Manager your purpose is to drive and deliver the Visitor Services strategy across Oakwood and to ensure an excellent visitor experience of the attraction. You would also be responsible for the on site recruitment and training prior to the season starting, in liaison with central Human Resources and Departmental Managers, along with being the on site contact for central Human Resources, monitoring employee relations, absence and being a representative of HR Ethics.
You will need to think creatively and be able to lead and motivate employees, giving clear parameters of responsibility and encouraging teamwork and initiative. We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated and have the vision to plan ahead.
A HR background is essential and you should thrive in a busy customer facing environment. It would also be advantageous, although not essential for candidates to have previous experience within the leisure attraction.
The post holder will be required to work full time, 5 days every week on a rota'd basis (including weekends). The park operates on a seasonal basis but the winter months will be used for strategic and budgetary planning.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part our successful Dive team. We are looking to recruit a Dive Instructor / Dive Officer. The position is Full Time and will include some weekend and bank holiday work.
The ideal candidate will have considerable previous experience of working in a Dive site environment. Proven diver training experience in a customer focused dive environment is essential.
